Uller Trailbreaking!

  • Pence Ball Field (across from Do-Drop Inn) 801 WI-77 Pence United States (map)

The Trail Chief needs some good help.

Last week’s storm gave us enough snow to set up Uller. Without going into the gory details, there’s a bit too much snow out there for simple machine packing and grooming. We need snowshoers and back country skiers to help us break trail up into the Range.

So, on Saturday, 15 January at 9am, we’ll have the gator set up at the Pence ball park to haul you into the woods and turn you loose to knock some air out of the snow column. Bring the widest snowshoes or skis you can handle. You’ll be breaking 12-14” of new snow on the old 6” base. We’ll have to work as a team and share the ‘point’. We’ll work toward Hoyt Rd from Pence and, who knows; maybe beyond.

If you can, let us know if you plan to help on this ‘old school’ mission. You’ll burn a few calories and we’ll begin to get on top of the grooming curve on Uller.

It could be epic. Z
